Water solutions for Mexico: join Wetskills
After a great experience in Mexico in 2019 Wetskills will come back to this country in August/September this year.
Are you a student or young professional from Mexico, Americas or beyond, and do you want to make a difference in the water sector? Would you like to experience working in an international team to solve water cases with out-of-the-box solutions? Do you want to work on challenging water & sustainability issues? Are you interested to visit the Auqatech-Mexico exhibition and conference and present your ideas for an international jury panel and audience? This is your chance! Wetskills Foundation and partners are organizing the seventh Wetskills edition in México!
Wetskills Foundation is inviting students (Bachelor (final year), Master and PhD) and Young Professionals from universities and organizations worldwide with a passion for Water, Climate and Sustainability, to join this intergenerational event and apply for Wetskills-México 2023 (period: 27 August to 7 September 2023). You can register by filling-in the online form on the wetskills website.

Registration
First registration deadline: 15 June 2023
After this deadline, every week a selection of the new applications is made until the program is full.
Who can apply?
Any Young Professional (up to 5 years of working experience) and student (last year Bachelor, Master or PhD) from Mexico, Americas and other countries worldwide, with a passion for water & sustainability and intercultural teamwork.

Selection criteria
The Wetskills Team will make a final selection among applications received, based on quality of motivation & resume. We also consider a good diversity of the whole group (incl. backgrounds, local/international, gender balance, etc.).
Costs
Participation fee for participants from Mexico who have local accommodatio arrangements is 1000 pesos. Participation fee for local and international participants, who need accommodation in Mexico City is € 425,- (excl. VAT, only for Europe). This Participation fee includes accommodation, teambuilding activities, some lunches & dinners, field trips, workshop, supervision, trainings and working venues. Also the Finals & Awarding and entrance to Aquatech-Mexico Exhibition & Conferences are included. Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses (plane tickets, local travel, etcetera), meals during working days and other personal costs.

Note: During past editions participants often successfully arranged financial compensation for their Wetskills participation from their university or employer. We therefore strongly encourage applicants to inquire about funding opportunities to compensate the costs (university mobility funds, travel allowance etc.).
