Climate Change and Sustainable Coastal Protection

There are two key elements to addressing the challenge of Climate Change. Mitigation of our impact through reducing our carbon footprint; but also accepting that even if we stop carbon emissions tomorrow we will continue for a long time to struggle with the issues of climate change unless we adapt. Van Oord is addressing both mitigation and adaptation. Presented by the Programme Lead for “Accelerating Climate Initiatives”, this lunch session by Rachel Terry will cover the challenge of adaption for vulnerable coastal communities faced with sea level rise, more sever storms and increased erosion; and what Van Oord is doing about it.
